Like a freight train
Its been a while... time for the update-
It feels like the summer is going by at light speed. I remember lugging my macaroni colored futon matress down the basement like it was just yesterday and now its already been over a month since I've been home, with 4th of July right around the corner. If someone were to ask me what I have accomplished in that time, it would be one word: work. Each week seems like a blur. Anyways...
Thursday we took a break from the routine of watching the Piston's at Conor's house and decided to go watch it on the big screen at Emagine theatres in Novi. All I can say is wow, what an amazing theatre. Besides having the biggest screens I've ever seen, every seat is like a lazy-boy rocking chair and there is no bad seat in the house. They also have waiters/waitresses who come around during the movie (or for that case Piston's game) and take drink and food orders; it remind like you would see in a play or show in Las Vegas! Needless to say, very cool.
Friday through Monday consisted of the usual routine: work all day and watching late night talk shows till I fall asleep. I'm sure most of you know, but for those of you who have been living under a rock, game 5 of the Detroit Piston's vs. the Los Angeles Lakers came to an end Tueday night and we were officially named NBA World Champions!! Way to go Stons'!! :-) I was very happy with the way we played in all three of the home playoff games at the Palace but thought we really showed the Lakers our strength as a team in game 5. At the start of the second half of the game, it seemed as though the Lakers knew in their heads they had lost and gave up; we were hitting dunks left and right. Truly a great series though and a great victory for the Piston's and for the city of Detroit.
Nothing new today, worked all day although I didn't do a whole lot; the rain usually keeps away the customers. Going to lift in a bit with Scott and then same thing tomorrow. My days off on Friday and Sunday will probably amount to not much productivity with a whole lot of relaxing and taking it easy... what I do best! Might consider updating the website if I can come up with the will and desire, we'll see what happens!
