Straight ahead Captain! Right on to finals week

Last week of classes.. wooo!! Life is movin fast as usual. Let me try and fill you in whats been going on in the last week.

The past week had been filled with the norm, schoolwork and studyin. Didn't do a whole lot on Thursday and Friday as far as partyin goes. Watched a bunch of movies with Stacy. Friday evening I took Stacy out to Applebees for dinner because we both felt like getting away from the monotonus dorm food. I had an amazing sirloin steak with melted bleu cheese and garlic mashed potatoes, mmmmm. We came back from dinner and watched a movie if I can remember correctly.

Slept in relatively late on Saturday and hung around until 3pm when Stacy and I accompanied Jeff , Heather, and some other people to the CMU Basketball game in honor of Heather's 20th birthday. Stacy and I left the game before the end so we could make it back to the dorm in time to get to downtown Mt. Pleasant by 6:45. In downtown MTP this weekend the city was holding an annual event called "Dicken's Christmas" which is an event that includes a christmas parade, activites, street vendors, and opportunites to donate to charities. We were offered by our RA Shanay to volunteer so we did.

Although when we first signed up I didn't think it would be much fun standing out in the cold but suprisingly I had a very good time. Because we volunteered later in the evening they event people didn't have a whole lot for us to do at first. After awhile one of the ladies got a call over the radio saying that they desperately needed people to monitor some of the barricades at one of the intersections because cars were driving through and kids were in the streets (they blocked off most of downtown for the event). So they assigned Stacy and I to traffic duty which I wasn't to happy about at first but it ended up being ok and I got to spend some quality time with my girl while feeling good that we were helping out with a charitable event.

After volunteering we grabbed a H&R (hot-and-ready) pizza and headed back to the dorms and just crashed, I was suuuper tired from the long day. Sunday was filled with total procrastination, which wasn't too bad. Some college procrastination during each semester is acceptable I believe.

For this week, it was a nice monday to start off the last week of classes. My computer and music classes were cancelled which left me with only 3 classes to attend instead of 5 which is a relief. Two papers due later this week in accounting and economics and also my last accounting test on Wednesday. Once all of that is over the studying begins for finals. After finals... Novi here I come!

Look for a few more updates before I depart MTP. Also keep your eyes open after the new year... there may be a blog remodel in my future ;-) (Check out kevinrose.com for examples)
